North Creek Capital, LLC is a registered investment adviser with the State of Washington and was formed in 2019 to provide advisory services to privately offered pooled investment vehicles.  Its founder, Michael V. Morgan is a real estate and investment management professional with 20+ years’ experience in construction management, commercial property transactions, fiduciary services, and private fund management. 

Prior to founding North Creek Capital, Michael served a Washington based Family Trust which owns and operates a self-storage & industrial portfolio throughout the Northwest valued over $200 million. As a Trustee, Michael collaborated with its Board to refine its long-range investment strategy as well as developed the framework and formation of its single-family office.

Michael’s entrance into the investment advisory space came in 2010 when he co-founded Fairview Partners in Seattle. Under his leadership the firm raised and managed 4 close-ended funds for the acquisition of non-performing real estate loans and other credit investments across the country. The company invested over $140 million in nearly 200 transactions across 34 states up until his departure in 2018. 

In 2006 Michael joined Marcus & Millichap as a commercial real estate broker. He and two partners launched a dedicated self-storage investment sales platform closing over $100 million in transactions on the West Coast during his tenure.

Michael’s career in real estate began in the field of construction management and general contracting. His broad exposure and experience include a variety of projects ranging from public works infrastructure to mid-rise residential developments and worked as a project engineer with Swinerton Builders, Schuchart Construction, and Bovis Lend Lease.

Michael holds a B.S. in Construction Management (2001) and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington (2002). Michael is also a designated Real Estate Broker and is affiliated with his wholly owned entity, MVM Investments LLC, a licensed Real Estate firm in Washington.

Michael grew up in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle. He now resides in Magnolia with his wife Katie and their 2 children, Madison (5) and Jackson (2). His family enjoys outdoor adventures whether to Discovery Park or San Juan Island to visit extended family. He is also a lifelong Seattle sports fan, including a die-hard Mariner's supporter, which he feels obligated to disclose.
